High Street based Lounge & Bar, Rakinos are continually opening our minds to all genres of music, from both Auckland grown artists, as well as those from the international scene. On any given evening you will find an agreeable blend of hiphop, soul, funk, dub and reggae and anything else that is simply good music to all of our ears.
On Tuesdays we kick off the music week with Live Acoustic sets. A rotation of talented musicians play every Tuesday from 5.30pm - 7.30pm, the perfect wind down after a long day at work.
Every wednesday is in the hands of rotating DJ’s Sizzor Hands & Flash. Bringing you a mix of boom bap & crunked out Hip Hop from 9pm til late. Topped up with drink specials from Canadian Club.
A platter of the finest Soulful Hip Hop & R&B not for beginners! Served up by resident DJ Lokey, and rotating DJ duo’s Substance & Haz Beats, Grant & TDK. Something for the smooth. El Jimador Tequila specials all night.
Sunday at Rakinos it's 'All the way Live'. Nothing but live music ranging from Jazz, Soul, Funk, Reggae, Hip Hop, Dub, Blues and more. Bands play from 6pm onwards so come check it out..
